Audio degrader / bitcrusher
Rough up a voice recording or add some crunch to a beat. Start with Lo-fi for a little grit, or pick 8-bit for a coarser sound. Use the strength slider to choose how distorted it gets.

Choose your lo-fi sound
- Use Lo-fi when you want a little roughness on dialogue or a beat. Start with a low strength for a lighter texture.
- Choose 8-bit for a coarser, crunchy sound, such as a game voice or sound effect. Turn up the strength if you want more distortion.
How the audio degrader works
Start low for a little texture on dialogue, or push the strength up for a crunchy beat or game sound. The clip stays the same length. Heavy distortion removes detail, and saving as WAV or FLAC won't bring it back.
Lo-fi uses 12-bit processing; 8-bit makes the sound coarser. Both reduce audio detail and hold samples to create that rough digital sound. As you turn up the strength, the tool reduces samples more, drives the input harder and mixes in more of the processed audio.
