Choose a starting pitch
- Choose Original pitch to return the slider to 0 semitones and keep the voice at its usual pitch.
- Use Deep for a lower character voice. It starts at −5 semitones; adjust the slider if you want to go lower.
- Try High-pitched for a higher character voice. It starts at +5 semitones, with the clip kept at its original length.
Change pitch while keeping the clip length
The slider measures pitch in semitones. At +12 you're an octave higher; at −12 you're an octave lower. You can adjust in half-semitone steps, or choose 0 to leave the pitch alone.
The tool adjusts the tempo to keep the clip the same length after shifting its pitch. Big shifts can make music or layered voices sound rough, so compare with your original as you go.
To make the recording faster or slower, use Change Speed. For a slower track with a lower pitch and a reverb tail, try Slowed + Reverb.
