How to cut WAV, FLAC or MP3 audio
Drag the waveform handles to keep an interview answer, a sound effect or the part after an intro. Type the start and end times for a more precise cut, or select Set to use the current playhead position. Times count in seconds from the start of your file: 12.5 to 42.5 keeps a 30-second clip. The shortest selection is 0.1 seconds.
WAV and FLAC uploads keep their format by default. Both formats save audio without lossy compression; choose either in Save as when you want to avoid another MP3 or OGG encode. The source sample rate and channels are preserved in WAV and FLAC output. WAV exports use 16-bit PCM, so a higher bit-depth source is reduced to 16 bits.
Each download keeps one continuous section. You can't join clips, remove a gap in the middle or add fades here. The clip is encoded again when you download it, so MP3 and OGG may lose a little quality.
